  • The Court Services Section is comprised of Court Security and Transportation units that operate within the Field Operations Division of the Sheriff’s Department. One Sergeant supervises both units, which is staffed by 16 Deputies who share overlapping duties.

  • The Court Holding Facility has recently undergone some much needed improvements under a plan presented by Sergeant Jeff Monroe.  Formerly the County Jail, this building required several upgrades to improve the working environment. Possibly the most exciting aspect of this plan was the redesign of the Control Room, making the workspace ergonomic and efficient.  All monitors, cabinets and fixtures have now been replaced, as well as the safety glass that faces the attorney rooms.  The entire facility has been repainted, and all of the lighting has been replaced with  brighter, more energy efficient models.  To keep the large multi-passenger transport bus dry in the winter and cool in the summer months, a new awning was also added to the south sallyport.
