Digital Licensing For Your Pet

Yolo County Animal Services has partnered with DocuPet to provide an enhanced pet licensing experience for residents. Your pet’s license now includes DocuPet’s free HomeSafe™ 24/7 lost pet service and designer license tags with personalization options.

APPLYING FOR A NEW LICENSE
When you register your pet in Yolo County, you will receive a unique license tag to attach to their collar. Our new licensing process with DocuPet allows residents to select a standard license
tag at no additional charge or upgrade to one of DocuPet’s colorful designer tag styles for an additional fee. Each DocuPet tag, standard or designer, doubles as a pet’s official license and comes equipped with the HomeSafe™ 24/7 lost pet service, which relies on a dedicated full-time dispatch staff and linked pet profiles to help get lost pets home quickly. License your pet now and browse hundreds of designer license tag styles: http://ycas.docupet.com

RENEWING AN EXISTING LICENSE
Licenses are required to be renewed prior to the expiration date depending on the length of the license term you purchased. You may keep your existing license tag, select to a new license tag for $10, or upgrade to one of DocuPet’s designer license tag styles for a nominal fee.

REQUESTING A REPLACEMENT LICENSE TAG
If your license is NOT due, you can still replace your old license tag with the new, standard license tag for $10, or you can upgrade to one of DocuPet’s designer license tag styles for an additional fee.

IMPORTANT! You are NOT required to upgrade/replace your existing license tag. You may keep your existing license tag, and we will continue to provide licensing support for the life of your pet. However, you will not be eligible to receive the benefits that come with the new license tag: https://www.pethub.com/#how-it-works

Through Yolo County’s licensing partnership with DocuPet, every license tag is now equipped with the complimentary HomeSafe™ lost pet service, which is driven by a 24/7 dedicated dispatch team and community-wide network and has reunited thousands of lost pets with their families.

Each license tag includes a unique HomeSafe™ code that links to that pet’s profile, and is used to create a Lost or Found Pet Report. The HomeSafe™ dispatch staff is available 24/7, 365, and they are determined to get every lost pet back home quickly and safely using that pet’s profile as their guide.

Pet owners can update their DocuPet profiles to include important information about their pet, such as emergency contacts, medical and veterinary information, care instructions and photos to help any profile viewer identify or care for their pet should they ever get lost.
